Guess what, bitches? I'm back
so i tried my hand at LiveJournal, but that just wasn't for me. i'm used to blogdrive and that's what i'm sticking with... for now at least. sooo... recap of this week. long weekend's nice. we went into boston and skated on friday. we found this cool spot which is actually a dried up fountain in copley park. very nice. we skated the entire day (8:15am(ish) - 3:00pm) that's a good 7 hours of actual skating. yesterday i did absolutely NOTHING. i sat home. but that's cool cause my legs were pretty wrecked from the day before. my muscles were really tight and i could barely walk. and then today's easter. lots of candy. good day. i have to work later on. i dunno if anyone's coming over today. probably not with everyone going to church and all. 10 days till Motion City Soundtrack/Story of the Year! Piebald's also coming around in May for a CD release party, so i'll probably be there too. that's it for now. good to be back.

don't have much to talk about so i thought i'd post some music recomendations for this week:
Taking Back Sunday - if you can, check out their new stuff. its all the same, but is that really that bad? still brilliant
Straylight Run - these guys are incredible. they've recently released their old demos on their website. good stuff.
Halifax - if you havent heard these guys, you need to broaden your tastes. they've been big in the indie scene for about 2 years but their recent release is absolutely spectacular. check it out.
Punchline - probably the coolest pop-punk around. these guys mix emo and pop for a great listening experience. definitely the next big thing
Yovee - not known anywhere really, but if you get a chance, check out their single "Dreamer on the Run" it's an incredible song.
JamisonParker - of course, i've been promoting these guys for the last few weeks, but i recently got my hands on a b-side, and all i can say is if this is anything like what their new album (currently in production) is going to shape up to be, watch out- these guys will be huge
Finch - yeah, they've been around for a while, and a lot of people have heard them, but i got to hear their new, currently untitled song, and it's great. from what i've heard, this band has become a lot more hardcore than their previous album. good listen
Anatomy of a Ghost - i know these guys are already known, but i'd just like to take the chance to promote them just a little bit more- great stuff
New Found Glory - yes, yes, i know... sellouts, posers, etc. but from what i've heard, their new cd won't just be recycled garbarge. lets hope that these guys surprise you.

alright, update time. lately thing have been going well. not much has happened except for the snow... i fucking hate snow. we havent recorded in a while. we REALLY need to get to that. we need to put out the EP soon. didnt go anywhere too exciting this weekend. i dunno what to write about. ermmm... Motion City Soundtrack is a good band. just thought that was worth mentioning. later this week me and john and maybe some are going to the movies with lauren and her friends. i think to see that new johnny depp movie. that should be fun. i dunno if there's anything else to write about. eh...

update finally... things have been pretty wierd lately... everyone's acting odd and i havent really been feeling like myself either. things have been changing pretty fast in the past week or so. i'm meeting a lot of new people. i talked to Mary online. she's really rad and i like talking to her a lot. i dunno what she thinks of me though, sometimes it feels like she thinks i'm a total goon. i've been talking to lauren a lot, too. i'm really glad that i met her. she's probably one of the coolest girls i've ever met. we just met but already it feels like my day isnt complete unless i talk to her. she lets me just vent and say whatever i want without feeling like a complete tool. plus she's a girl so she helps me out with my girl problems too. she's the best. so moving on- my week. i dunno whats going on today, probably nothing big. on friday i'm going to bryan's house and then we're going to guitar center. he's gonna pick up his Ibanez Iceman. it's a pretty nice guitar, but i think he should get the schecter with the dual humbuckers. cant wait to get to guitar center though. i want to try out some new guitars because i desperately need a new one. i have my heart set on the 1963 Fender Jazzmaster. i think its the coolest thing. plus its fender and i know that i can trust them. speaking of music, we need to record soon. i want to get that EP out. i talked to mark about putting on a show with the entire Atwod crew when we launch the EP. i think that would be really cool. i dunno if there's anything left to say.... i guess that's it. later|
