not too much to update about... hung out with natasha and rita and mark and john on friday... last night sucked except for catching up with an old friend which was good... tomorrow i'm hanging out with rita after finals which im sure will be cool cause rita's awesome... and then this weekend it the super bowl (score)
okay onto more important matters... i'm trying to get a small side-job as an album reviewer, so to help me, i'm asking anyone out there to suggest any cd of their liking for me to review... i'd like at least 3 albums that i could review and then i'll add my strongest review to my resume. also if anyne can suggest an alternative music website (preferably an up-and-coming site) that is in need of an album reviewer, that would be greatly appreciated. add all sugggestions to the comment board at the bottom of this post. thanks a lot

so this weekend was cool, we got to drive around and hit some skate spots with the few hours of no snow we had. played resident evil 4 which is worth mentioning cause it scared the piss outta us. besides that, meri was gonna come over today, but she had homework. no biggie. i guess ill update when more stuff happens

new update starting with... the band. our recording process is going pretty smoothly, we've layed down the guitar and bass for our first song. the next song we'll definitely do drums first. i think we're gonna have an acoustic track on there somewhere. our second song is already basically written. i wrote it and i think we might actually have to add another guitar part to it. we'll see. i have to write some lyrics tonight. going along with that, the annual telethon is coming up and we're going to be on it, so if you're gonna watch it, check us out. since our ep isnt finished, and we arent confident with our first song yet, we'll be covering taking back sunday's "a decade under the influence" since we've got that one down.
also john gets his license on saturday so we're gonna drive up somewhere... i dunno... mark and john were talking about some trip. itll be cool though. im gonna see if meri wants to come over after school tomorrow. natasha said she might come by on sunday so we'll see. its a long weekend so i think we're all gonna crash at my house on saturday and then we'll probably end up at john's on sunday night.
i've also been doing some mixtaping... this definitely isnt one of my best, but it's got a really good flow. it's gonna be part of a series. this is chapter 1: if all else fails, i can count on this.

dammit, something's screwed up with my pictures, i'll have to deal with that later. anyway.... christmas was good this year. i got basically everything i wanted since i picked it all out. and whatever i didnt get, ill just buy with all the money i got. good christmas. the only things that i dont have are the oc season 1 and garden state since i ordered them both together and garden state doesnt ship till the 28th. so ill get them both like 2 days later. i also ordered a sweatshirt (The Format) which will probably be here tomorrow. it's sick. i also got a new rodney mullen Almost deck. the concave is the best i've ever had, im landing flips like nothing. besides that, the only other big thing is new years which i may or may not be spending with natasha and rita. i hope they'll be free cause i love hanging out with them and we never really get a chance to do it alot, so i hope everything works out. i got them both some cool presents, so it would be cool to see them so i could give them those. they've been in mexico since thursday so i guess ill have to wait until the day before new year's eve to figure out if they want to do something. i guess that's it. bah humbug!

Best friends means I pull the trigger, best friends means you get what you deserve
its like... early... and im tired. but whatever. last night was fucking insane. we went to the piebald concert and it was friggin freezing out, and we had to sit outside for a good hour. so we meet up with shea, oliver, carlos, this one chill kid ryan and another kid, tim, who i didnt know but we didnt really chill with too much. so we watch revalin play the set that i'd been dying to play, but we didnt get our shit together. revalin's set was alright, though. then avoid one thing came on and there were massive pits. that was a damn good time. so after they finished up, i met up with natasha, rita, lauren, and bridgette and chilled with them for a few minutes. a little while later piebald began their set by giving us a preview of their new dvd which was sick. their set was awesome, beginning with The Stalker. that was damn fun. the set was pretty long and they played some of my favorites (long nights, american hearts, king of the road.) by the end of the set they'd played some of their old hits but still hadnt played my all time favorite song: karate chops for everyone but us. the set ended with Just a Simple Plan. i like that song alot, but its no karate chops for everyone but us. the band left the stage and the crowd called for an encore, and of course, thats what we got. the band comes out, plays 2 old songs and by that time i was getting sort of worried that i wouldnt hear the song at all that night. but low and behold, the third and final song was so fittingly surnamed "a song about your friends..." and i got to hear my favorite piebald song. now as if jumping around in a pit like that to that song wasnt enough, towards the end of the song, everyone rushes the stage and we all got up on stage with the entire band to sing the final chorus. most definitely a fitting end to an absolutely incredible concert. i dunno if they'll be able to top it next year, but here's hoping

i just want to say how good it makes me feel when people leave the kind messages in my comments telling me how much they enjoy my journal. even complete strangers like the latest girl who left a message in my last post. i want to thank all of you because for a few days, i thought about abandoning this journal, but thanks to your comments, i've decided to keep it open and post more than i have before. please feel free to leave your comments! thanks again.
